Tamburlaine is thrilled to have partnered with local Cambridge-based charity Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust.
Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) is the only registered charity (no 1170103) dedicated to supporting innovation in patient care across Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals. ACT is dedicated to changing patients’ lives across Cambridgeshire and beyond. Through innovative developments, such as the TASTE programme which helps children who have been tube-fed to enjoy food again, and providing funding for quiet rooms and outside spaces for patients to utilise as a part of their healing process, ACT is thinking outside the box to provide extra elements of care over and above what the NHS can provide alone. The trust also supports a range of research, including the current Personalised Breast Cancer Program which aims to improve treatment based on a woman’s genetic profile.
ACT was selected by our team at Tamburlaine as our charity of the year, as we project ourselves into Cambridge. Tamburlaine will support act in numerous ways. We will be organizing staff charity events such as bike racing, runs, boat races and many more. Our staff are already grouping together to make some plans for charity for this summer.
